Creation: The Cause and Effect of Sin
According
to the Hebrew Bible after creation, sin began to roam the land. The theory of
creation and sin are expanded after the third chapter in the book of Genesis.
The cause of sin was disobedience of the first two humans against God. The
effects of this disobedience, thousands of years ago is still haunting the
earth till this day with death, sorrow and disasters. Unfortunately, the
effects of sin increase more and more each day and there is no way to stop
them.
According to the bible there was only one major cause of sin and this one
was disobedience. After God created the world so perfect he trusted Adam and Eve
to be free and be owners of the Garden of Eden which was a perfect place
designed for them to live. He said that they could eat from every plant and tree
inn the garden except for one .God said “But of the fruit of the tree which is
in the midst of the garden, God has said, you shall not eat of it, neither shall
you touch it, lest you die”(Original Sin). This quote was a threat that God gave
both Adam and Eve, it should have been enough for them to stay away from the
tree but temptation lured Eve into wondering around near it. In the tree lived a
serpent; the serpent was actually Satan in the form of a serpent in order to
talk the women into committing sin against her creator. He told her that God
didn’t want them to eat from that tree because if they did they would become
just as powerful as him, he promised her that she wouldn’t die, and he claimed
that nothing bad would happen if she took an apple from the tree and ate it
(Answers In Genesis). Eve fell into this trap that was designed by Satan in
order to ruin Gods perfect creation. When Eve took a bite, there was no
immediate consequence. Therefore, she took the apple to Adam and told him what
the serpent had told her. Adam was shocked and disappointed by Eve’s behavior.
He didn’t want to take a bite from the apple but his beloved eve had done it
therefore he took a bite too. For a while they had realized what they had done
and decided to hide form God. This was an absurd behavior they thought God
wouldn’t see them. They were wrong because God is an omnipotent being that knows
all. He was outraged by Adam and Eve’s behavior and this caused the original sin
in the world that condemned every future generation to a sinful life (Answers in
Genesis).
The immediate effect of the original sin committed by Adam and Eve was
that they were thrown out of the Garden of Eden and eventually one of their sons
Cain murdered his own brother Able because of jealousy.
The effects of the original sin are still seen in life today. In fact,
with a lot more intensity and volume than it was then. The world has become an
unsafe place because of an inherited life of sin. Basically, because Adam and
Eve disobeyed God their decadence which is the world today, is destined to live
a life where there is murder, jealousy, robbery, adultery and temptations.
Humans today are born sinners and really there is nothing they can do to fix
that. It is evident that the world is becoming worse each day because sin is
getting bigger and bigger. Just a couple of weeks ago in Porterville a man
killed his mother and father and shot his two daughters to death. What has the
world come to?
The effects of sin are also said to be the natural disasters such as
earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes where millions of people have lost their
lives and people close to them. For example, the earthquake that happened not so
long ago in Japan is believed to be an effect of sin in this world. According to
the Answers in Genesis program,
“News stations worldwide are reeling at the devastation in Japan due to a
massive earthquake… many people question how a good and loving God could allow
such evil to happen. However, this is just another painful reminder of how the
curse of sin has affected our world”. This quote proves how sin is believed to
be the cause of all horror, death, and punishment in the world.
It is tremendously shocking to believe that God would create such perfect
creatures to his image yet spoil his whole creation because two people decided
to disobey their creator. It seems somewhat cruel and unfair. Although it is
stated and proved that we are sinful we are not condemned according to the
bible. Even though there are temptations in the world we must always try to do
the right and according to the bible that will be our salvation in the end.
