This Is What I Am!
I am a person that does not know how to express herself in few words. There are many factors in my life that make up who I am such as; my family, education, friends, and Religion. I couldn’t leave any of those thing unaccounted for or unrecognized in my visual representation. Therefore, I decided to make a collage where I showed every important aspect of my life through many photos.
What inspired me to make this collage was to be able to analyze all the things I have done in school, clubs, sports, and volunteer activities in the past four years. In my creation, I had a difficult time finding the right pictures to print out in my computer, I had so many that I really didn’t know which ones where more worthy of my project.
I thought about what have been the most important experiences in my life and I began to pick photos. I chose pictures of the clubs I was in, the field trips I took, my trip to Japan, my closest friends, my volunteer activities, my church and photos where I am with my family.
When I took a look at my finalized project I determined many things. I saw how I had grown since the beginning of my freshman year. I understood the value and impact that high school has had in my development, mentally, emotionally and socially. I saw how I had grown socially because I have made so many new friends since the beginning of my freshman year. I have met many new amazing people, unfortunately, only a few fit in my collage.
Because of high school I have grown emotionally I have re-established my self-confidence, I have learned many valuable concepts that I will use for the rest of my life. I understood this in my project when I saw all my club photos and swimming photos. As a consequence for my involvement in after school activities I have gained confidence and belief that I can do anything I put myself to.
Evidently I have also grown mentally in all aspects. I have become more mature, more open minded and intelligent. Not only is this demonstrated in my grades but I have grown a lot in the way I think about the world. I added photos of me in Japan because that experience was the most eye opening experience in my life that sponsored my maturity and change of mind. I became more aware and over all a better person.
I dedicated some time to this project because it meant that much to me. It is amazing to see all that I have done throughout high school and the best part is that it makes me proud to see my accomplishments and growths in these four years. I can honestly say that I did everything I wanted to do in high school.
